Marriage Preparation Course in English

For International Couples Getting Married in Poland

Are you planning a sacramental wedding in Poland and one of you doesn’t speak Polish? We warmly invite you to join our Pre-Marriage Catechesis in English – a special course designed for international couples preparing for the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church.

What will you learn?

During the course, we explore key aspects of Christian marriage and offer space for reflection and conversation about your shared journey:

1. Marriage as a sacrament – growing in love as an engaged and married couple
2. The ethics of married life – introduction to responsible parenthood
3. The role of confession – reconciliation in engagement and marriage; building a strong family community
4. Prayer & Eucharist – the mission and vocation of the Christian family today

Where and when?

The course takes place in the conference hall of the Family Support Foundation (Fundacja Towarzyszenia Rodzinie),
ul. Siostry Faustyny 70, Kraków.

Schedule:

Saturday:

9:00–10:00 – Conference talk – Fr. Tomasz
10:00–10:20 – Coffee break*
10:20–11:15 – Conference talk – Fr. Tomasz
11:15–11:45 – Coffee break
11:45–13:35 – Conference talk – Fr. Tomasz
14:00 – Holy Mass in the lower chapel of the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy

Sunday:

9:00–10:30 – Conference led by a married couple (Ania and Rafał)
10:30–10:45 – Coffee break
10:45–12:45 – Conference led by a married couple (Ania and Rafał)
12:45–14:00 – Lunch break**
14:00–15:30 – Conference led by a married couple (Ania and Rafał)
15:30–15:45 – Coffee break
15:45–16:30 – Conference led by a married couple (Ania and Rafał)

• During coffee breaks, a coffee machine, tea, and sweet yeast pastries will be available.

** Lunch is not included in the price. You may have lunch at the AGAPE restaurant, the restaurant at the House of St. Sister Faustina, or other nearby dining establishments.

🅿️ Free parking is available on-site.

📘 Each couple receives a materials package, including the INER booklet and “Aby byli jedno” (“That They May Be One”) – both required for your further meetings at the Family Life Counseling Center.

📜 At the end of the course, participants receive an official certificate confirming course completion.

Next steps

After the catechesis, couples attend three meetings at the Family Life Counseling Center (Poradnia Życia Rodzinnego). You may complete two of these meetings by participating in a one-day Natural Family Planning (NFP) course.
